As an editor, I have experience with acquisitions, developmental, and proofreading and copyediting.
In the past, I edited articles for Twin Cities Geek Magazine for eighteen months before writing for their Domestic Geekdom section. While I was a teacher, I also was an editor for a year with MinneTESOL, the professional association of ESOL teachers in Minnesota and the upper midwest.
In 2019, I edited two projects. The first was a collection of poetry titled Squirt by Kate Spencer. The second was Wairoa, a play by Hone Kouka I updated and edited as my student project for the Graduate Diploma in Publishing (Applied).
In 2020, I worked on proofreading academic articles, speculative fiction short stories, and newsletters. I’ve also edited a press release for a freelance internet content creator, ZuyaDragon. Additionally, I worked on editing, proofreading, and newsletter creation for WitchyFiction.
As a publicist, I have experience writing book blurbs (summaries), press releases, and in contacting media. In 2019, I worked as the publicist for From a Shadow Grave by Andi C. Buchanan. In 2020, I worked on publicity for a MG fantasy novel set in New Zealand as well as a YA/NA fantasy novel set in Oregon.
